Daiwa Saltist Slow Jig PE3 Combo With Lexa 300 H-P

A great Snapper, Pearl Pearch, Nanagai and inshore combo that is still heavy enough for Kings, Amberjacks and other hard fighting fish. This combo is as light as it gets in weight when it comes to PE3 and is the mid range rod in the Saltist V2 Slow Jig Range. A perfect combo to jig with with all day and is rated for Jigs from 120-300g but will still work well with smaller jigs from 60-100g on the inshore reefs. The reason being is you cannot hurt a rod fishing under the rating and still get action out of them as opposed to fishing jigs too heavy. The reel is the Daiwa Lexa 300 and is a power house little baitcaster with a Power Handle to match. The Saltist Hyper rods are an extremely well built rod and will not fail you and the Saltist Hyper V2 also features a blank guard to protect the blank where it would usually rub against the bare blank when in the holder on most other typical Slow Jig split butt rods. The combo comes spooled with Daiwa X4 J Braid Multi, we choose this as the X4 braid is more wear resistant and has a longer life expectancy than 8 Carrier braids.  The Lexa HSP Has a slightly faster retreive making for a quicker retreive when bringing your lure back up to the surface, The H-P has a lower gear ratio (slower retreive) for more power fighting the fish, but not enough either way to make either reel better or worse, they will both perform very well.
