The BG MQ and Daiwa Demon Blood is the perfect midrange combo for the boat and landbased fishing. This versatile combo is suitable for all types of fishing whether you’re chasing Kingfish, Tuna and Cobia using a variety of lures ranging from metals, plugs, stick baits, small cup poppers, plastics and sluggo’s. The BG MQ 14000H is a very strong and tough little reel, equipped with 15kg of drag.

The combo comes with the Daiwa Demon Blood 962-3/5 rated rod which can be used from the boat. It has a fast action in the tip perfect for casting and floating and sinking metals, plugs, stick baits, small cup poppers, plastics and sluggo’s, with plenty of power down the back end to handing those big fish. The reel comes spooled with Daiwa J Braid x8 Multi 50lb 300m which is a super-strong, smooth, and abrasion-resistant line which is ideal when fishing for fish near structure.

BG MQ 20000

Daiwa’s BG series has changed the game of what affordable quality looks like in heavy-duty spinning reels. Now, by combining Monocoque Body (MQ) technology with the mass market appeal of BG, 20 BG MQ is born.

Monocoque Body (MQ) is the single biggest revolution in spinning reel design from Daiwa by totally eliminating the traditional two-piece body construction. MQ reels don’t use any side plates and feature a completely screwless body design which eliminates potential entry points for water & grime, and significantly enhances overall body strength and rigidity. 

Throughout the entire line-up of BG MQ, vast improvements have been made to almost all areas of the reel design. The drag has been improved both in maximum capacity but also in smooth overall performance, drastically reducing the friction of the Carbon ATD drag – BG MQ’s drag performance is unmatched by the competition.

Casting performance has also been improved with the implementation of Long Cast ABS (LC-ABS) spool design. LC-ABS spool design improves line flow from the spool, resulting in increased casting distances across the board with both heavy & light lines.

DAIWA 21 DEMON BLOOD SPINNING FISHING RODS

 

Daiwa’s Demon Blood range has been synonymous with the tough and often brutal fishing which Australia is so famous for. In 2021, Daiwa has redeveloped the Demon Blood to bring a new level of performance and expanded the range to cater for the ever-growing demand for sportfishing actions suitable for casting, or jigging for hard-fighting predators.

The first thing you’ll notice about the new Demon Blood is the return of the distinctive red colour. A throwback to the original series, the red area not only looks fantastic but signifies the section of the blank where Daiwa has included 3DX carbon. 3DX is Daiwa’s exclusive carbon technology which creates an interlocking weave of high-modulus carbon fibre which significantly increases torsional stiffness, reducing twisting and ultimately leading to longer casts and more consistent performance. The upgrades don’t stop there either, Daiwa’s new X45X Full Shield has been incorporated from where the 3DX finishes, throughout the entire rod blank. The next iteration from Daiwa’s famous X45, X45X Full Shield is up to 25% more efficient in its benefits of increased torsional stiffness and increased stiffness to weight ratio. That means the new Demon Bloods not only are lighter than their predecessors but will outperform them as well.

Fuji components outfit the new blanks with Alconite ringed stainless-steel guides and DPS reel seats with locking nuts across the range. A few key points of the new Demon Blood are the use of reversed MN frame guides as stripper guides across the series. By reversing an MN frame Fuji guide, line slap across the frame is significantly decreased resulting in longer casts and less tangles. Daiwa then combines this reverse stripper with ‘K’ series anti-tangle guides towards the tip sections of the rods where the line has been brought under control by the stripper guides and line slap on the angled frame of the ‘K’ series guides is a non-issue. This is the preferred guide method for heavy tackle casting and has become the standard across the Daiwa range.

The all-new range of Demon Blood rods has been expanded to cater for the growing demand of lure casting to pelagic species such as mackeral, GT, tuna and Kingfish with actions covering every conceivable requirement from all around the country.

X45X FULL SHIELD

X45X Full Shield Technology is 25% more efficient than standard X45 technology. With increased torsional stiffness, blanks armed with X45X resist blank twist during casting & jigging. This characteristic prevents the blank from losing stored energy during the cast, ensuring that every bit of force you put into your cast, is transferred through the blank and ultimately to your chosen lure.

3DX

3DX supports the lower power section of the rod by knitting densely packed carbon fibers in 3 directions to achieve a six wrap rectangular weave. Power through the blank under load is distributed evenly in all directions allowing it to maintain its profile and form. This process confines the rod’s power to the lower section of the rod, increases power, eliminates blank twist and collapse, all the while reducing angler fatigue.

HVF NANOPLUS

Through the use of nano resin control technology in the blank construction process, Nanoplus allows for increased graphite density to be achieved within a graphite rod blank.

V JOINT

Bias construction within the ferrule allows it to flex with the rod, eliminating the weak, unbending spot caused by ordinary ferrules. The result of this revolutionary technology is a multi-piece blank that matches the performance of one-piece blanks in flex, power and responsiveness.
